Avocado Rosemary Grapefruit Soap

The Avocado Rosemary Grapefruit bar contains only seven ingredients:  saponified grass-fed beef tallow, saponified oils of coconut, avocado, and extra virgin olive oil, avocado puree,  organic rosemary essential oil, and organic grapefruit essential oil.

We love using whole foods in our products whenever we can, and avocado puree makes a great addition to this savory sudsy bar. We recommend this to clients prone to dry skin, especially in the winter months.  We also recommend this to clients with mature skin.

Grass-fed beef tallow from Yonder Way Farm

The fatty acid profile of grass-fed, pasture-raised tallow (beef fat) is incredibly close to that of the human skin cell, which makes it wonderfully absorbable and nourishing to the body.  There is a vast difference in the quality and social footprint of ethically raised and processed animals who live their lives as nature intended and (as our farmer says) have “only one bad day their whole lives” and animals crammed into pens and cages, fed unnatural toxic feed that makes them sick and fat, and terminated without honor or respect.

We use grass-fed tallow in many of our soaps and other body products because of the wonderfully nourishing fatty acid profile.  Because we believe in ethically sourcing our ingredients, all of our tallow comes from our amazing friends at Yonder Way Farm.  Jason and Lynsey Kramer built their farm on the principal that they should be good stewards of the land, and raise their animals free from confinement in a natural environment, without the use of antibiotics, growth hormones, synthetics or chemicals of any kind.  Their cows graze on vast acres of grass, their pigs root up pasture, and their chickens forage and roam totally free.  We know this because we’ve spent time with our wonderful farmers, walked their farm, met their amazing animals (pictured below is Rojo, their stud pig) and eaten meals with their amazing family.  We are honored and blessed to have them feed our family, and happy to share their practices and nourishing products with you.

Each bar weighs approximately 4-5 oz. Since every bar is made in small batches and hand-cut, the sizes and weight will vary slightly.

Due to the handmade nature of this soap, each bar will differ slightly from the pictures above.

Each bar has been cold processed in small batches and is cured for at least 4 weeks.  This ensures a pH neutral product, and helps to create a harder, longer-lasting bar that won’t just melt away in the shower after a few uses. While we believe this creates the best possible quality product, it does create a slower inventory process.  If we do not have enough bars to ship at the time you place your order, you will be alerted immediately and will have the option to maintain your order, in which case the bars will be shipped to you as soon as they become available (we will provide an approximate date for shipping availability), or you can cancel your order and reorder at a later date.

We make no claims on our soap, other than that we LOVE them and use them ourselves every day.  We hope you do too. Please read the ingredients list carefully and do not use if you have sensitivities to any of the ingredients. As with any product, please discontinue use if irritation occurs.

To preserve the life of our soaps, we recommend keeping them as dry as possible between uses.
